Position: Retail, Merchandise Planners

We have a great opportunity within our Merchandise Team based in our Support Office at Norwest Business Park in New South Wales. The Merchandise Planners role directly reports to the Merchandise Manager and is responsible for ensuring effective analysis of merchandise to ensure profitability and excellent servicing of stores.
Our support office includes secure parking, conference/training facilities, spacious open plan offices, dry cleaning, convenience store, fitness centre and sporting facilities, childcare options, and several cafιs.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse trends and history and make recommendations based on the information
Plan the Budgets by department in consultation with the Merchandise Manager
Prepare and coordinate documentations for Big W buyers
Conduct Suppliers SWOT analysis and analyse
Ensure Stock Levels are at an optimal level by planning Stock Flow by month by department
Propose Seasonal budgets for Sales, Stock and Markdowns
To be considered for this position you will be able to meet the following
Experience working in a retail environment
At a minimum 3-5 years analysis experience
Experience working, interpreting and monitoring budgets and KPIs
Familiarity with Development Assortment/ Range Plan tools within the ARTHUR system is a distinct advantage
Highly motivated with a strong interest in the products BIG W sells
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Strong attention to detail
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Tertiary Qualifications in a related Business or Finance related discipline will be highly regarded
