Who we are
BMA manages and operates seven Bowen Basin mines – Goonyella Riverside, Broadmeadow, Peak Downs, Saraji, Norwich Park, Gregory Crinum and Blackwater – and the Hay Point coal terminal near Mackay. BMA also manages South Walker Creek and Poitrel mines, owned by BHP Mitsui Coal Pty Ltd. BMA Coal head office is located on Eagle Street, Brisbane Qld.

What we do
- BMA exports more than 53 million tonnes of coal each year to customers in more than 27 countries
- BMA extracts coal using open-cut and underground methods
- BMA coal comprises of high-quality hard-coking coal and weak-coking/PCI coals for steel production, and some high-energy thermal coals for power generation
- Directly employs almost 9,400 people at BMA sites, with 26,000 flow-on jobs .
