Who we are
Alcoa has been a major Australian exporter and employer for over 40 years.
Alcoa’s operations in Victoria, Western Australia and NSW form an integrated aluminium industry which produces about 47% of Australia’s alumina and 30% of the national aluminium output.
Operations include bauxite mines, alumina refineries, aluminium smelters, rolling mills and aluminium recycling facilities – adding value to Australia’s resources at every stage of the manufacturing process. With exports of over $3 billion a year, Alcoa makes a significant contribution to Australia’s balance of trade. Regarded as a leader in corporate social responsibility, Alcoa also contributes to Australian life through partnerships with community, government and other stakeholders to help build stronger communities.
