Main banking institutions in Australia
The Australian banking sector is currently dominated by four main banking institutions:
- ANZ (Australia and New Zealand Banking Group)
- Commonwealth Bank of Australia
- National Bank of Australia
- Westpac Banking Corporation
Other banking institutions in the country include AMP Bank Limited, Bank of Queensland Limited, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited and Macquarie Bank Limited, amongst others.
Australia is also home to a number of foreign subsidiary banks, including Bank of China, HSBC Bank, ING Bank, Citigroup Pty, Rabobank, etc.
